Finally, after working 5 days of straight full shift. Today is my off day.
I woke up at 9am in the morning. Feeling not really sleepy as I expected. Because I slept quite early last night at (12am++) as my usual timing at (3am++). Waking up early also due to my early visit to toilet too.
Had breakfast with my Boyfriend mom then we went to buy durian. I love durian. We bought many durians because it was really cheap. 3 for $10, 1 for $2 and even 1 for $0.50! I always like to buy cheap dirt food because sometimes cheap food taste yummy too.
We headed home as soon as we could. Ate durian, rest and we started folding incense paper for my boyfriend's Ahma. It's turing 2 years very soon after she passed away. I remembered how's the first visit to my boyfriend's house when my boyfriend was very sick. I stayed overnight and the next day I woke up, I saw his mom, uncle and his Ahma. His Ahma was very cute and happy. When boyfriend's mom asked me "How old does Ahma looked", I thought she was just 70+ . Then I was told she was already 90 and I was so shocked!
The looks doesn't say a person's real age.
After that day, I wasn't sure if we will to meet again. I thought our fate ended there. But I was wrong. God brought us together.
So my boyfriend told me to stay at his house. I stayed my boyfriend's house almost everyday and I often communicate with boyfriend's Ahma. She told me a lot of her past stories, life stories, her experience and everything. Sometimes she even rant her things to me. She loves talking to me and she enjoy very much.
As days goes by, I understand her better than before. Her habit, her favourite food, personality.. Everyday she will ask boyfriend's mom, "Where is Ah girl", "Where is Ah hong" , and ask if everyone came home? She cares a lot for everyone.
I often buy "Kueh" for her and the family. She loves eating Kueh and she said it was so delicious. I always enjoy looking at the way she chew the food slowly. She really enjoys eating a lot. The joy and the happiness in her face was priceless. I can see her heart feeling very warmth. There is once, I went to her room and I asked her: "Ahma you want eat ang ku kueh?" in hokkien. She said: "Yes, help me to get up, I want to eat". I told her: Not yet, Ahma. I wanted to go buy but I asked you first". She said, "Oh then it's okay". I told her: "I am going now to buy for you, Ahma," *She nodded her head* with her happiest smile. I was so happy! The feeling of buying food for someone, and there she is there waiting for my food to deliver to her.
When the food is ready to serve her, she would ask me to help her up. To get up from bed, I hold her arm tightly, guide her along the walking path way and to the chair she usual sit in living room. She had a habit of dragging her feet onto the floor which makes a special sound. Whenever she is sick and could not walk, I would push wheelchair to fetch her from bedroom to living and there it goes back the same.
During the year, she had fallen sick. She went in hospital in and out. I remembered the first time she was admitted to hospital, I was with her. She was difficult in her breathing and could hardly talk. Before ambulance came, she can still asked for food. Also, I would buy food for her when she is in hospital. I bought a steam cake and she said it was very yummy! She kept asking for more.
Since she often went in hospital due to her health problem and boyfriend's mom was a busy housewife, sometimes I had to take care her. There is once I need to go hospital to feed Ahma. She was happy to see me. She said she was hungry and I feed her with food. Home cooked food from boyfriend's mom. It was the time I felt that I need to really take care Ahma because no one was with me, to take care Ahma.
Days had passed quickly.. She is getting older. During the year of 2012, somewhere July, she passed away in hospital.
Until today, I couldn't believe she had gone. I missed her /:
I believe she is going good in heaven. Looking over us.
